    Job description

HR Operations Analyst – Newcastle upon Tyne

    Who We Are

Neptune North was founded in 2024 as a joint venture between Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting and part of the NYSE-listed Marsh, and Rokos Capital Management, a global alternative investment fund manager. Our people are exceptional technical experts, who thrive on exploiting leading-edge technologies to solve the most complex problems.

We provide bespoke technology solutions to businesses operating in the banking and financial services, private capital and defence industries.

Our working environment is founded on principles of trust, collaboration and shared purpose. We pride ourselves both on the high calibre of our people, and on the supportive workplace they create, where each individual is given autonomy to grow and thrive.

From our headquarters in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, we operate across our international office network. We are expanding rapidly, building teams in key markets to stay close to our clients and talent.

    Our Culture

    • We are looking for exceptional talent with excellent communication skills
    • Collaboration is key, both internally and with our clients. We believe we do our best work when we are together and working hand in hand with business users
    • Curiosity is something we embrace and value highly
    • We want people who are positive and passionate, have proven problem solving capabilities, can work quickly to find solutions to complex challenges and unlock big opportunities
    • People need to be able to take ownership and be trusted to deliver, going the extra mile
    • We want people who are highly motivated and have a high desire to learn

    Responsibilities

    • Administrator of our HRIS (Workday), ensuring HR processes (e.g., data input, employee lifecycle workflows) are operationally timely and accurate.
    • Support the implementation of HR process changes within Workday to improve efficiency, automation, or reporting where applicable.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers on system updates, configurations, and troubleshooting.
    • Maintain strong data governance to enable accurate and up-to-date HR data reporting and workforce analytics.
    • Execute the day-to-day processes that fall within the employee lifecycle (e.g., onboarding, benefits administration, offboarding).
    • Contribute to process improvements within HR Operations, supporting efforts to standardise and streamline workflows.
    • Document existing and improved HR processes, workflows, and policies to ensure clarity and consistency.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to review and refine HR processes to align with business objectives.
    • Ensure all HR operational processes align with local laws and internal company policies.
    • Generate and manage HR documentation, including offer letters and service agreements
    • First point of contact for employees and managers with HR operational queries, providing accurate and consistent guidance and applying judgement to escalate where required.

    What makes a great candidate

    • 1-3 years of experience in an HR Operations, HR Administration, or HR Analyst role.
    • Experience working with HRIS platforms (preferably Workday), and Application Tracking Systems (preferably Greenhouse).
    • Strong administrative and operational experience, with a proven ability to execute HR processes accurately and consistently.
    • A practical understanding of the employee lifecycle and the underlying HR processes
    • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in data management, governance and analytics.
    • Understanding of compliance requirements such as GDPR or equivalent data protection regulations.
    • Experience working with highly confidential and sensitive information and applying the highest levels of discretion.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
    • Proactive, collaborative, execution-focused mindset — someone who takes ownership of tasks and follows through to completion.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, especially when troubleshooting HRIS or process issues.
    • Proficient in using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Additional experience in MS Visio preferred.
    • An Undergraduate Degree in a relevant subject

    • Exercising judgement and acumen to understand the true business need beyond the stated requirements
    • Challenging current systems and processes to achieve common goals through technical excellence and innovation
