    Job description

    About Netwealth

Netwealth isn't just a company. We're shaping the future of wealth in Australia. Our award-winning platform and NextGen technology empower advisers and investors to achieve more, and we're proud to be recognised as one of Australia's most innovative FinTech businesses.

Since 1999, we've grown rapidly by challenging the status quo. We move fast, think big, and stay agile. Free from unnecessary bureaucracy so we can deliver smarter solutions for our clients and create real impact.

But what truly sets us apart? Our people. We're a team of curious, optimistic and courageous individuals who collaborate to make life better for more Australians. We value authenticity, and agility, and we believe in creating an environment where you can do your best work, grow your career, and feel part of something meaningful.

If you're looking for a place where your ideas matter, where innovation is celebrated, and where you can help shape a brighter financial future, join us at Netwealth.

    The opportunity

We're looking for a Distribution Governance Analyst to join our Customer Operations department and play a critical role in protecting adviser and client outcomes through robust governance, monitoring and continuous improvement.

You'll support our adviser monitoring program, review fee arrangements, identify risks, investigate exceptions and work with teams across the business to strengthen controls and processes.

This isn't a traditional compliance role where you're sitting on the sidelines.

You'll be in the detail, connecting dots across data, systems and stakeholder groups, helping us identify issues before they become problems and turning insights into meaningful action.

Help shape the controls that protect advisers, clients and one of Australia’s leading wealth platforms.

Most people see the end result.

The adviser receives the right fee. The client receives the right service. The platform operates as expected.

What they don't see is everything happening behind the scenes to make sure that's true.

    That's where you come in.

    What you'll be doing

    • Review adviser fee arrangements and conduct risk-based testing to ensure fees, consents and ongoing service arrangements are accurate and compliant.

    • Analyse and reconcile data across multiple systems to uncover anomalies, trends and potential control gaps.

    • Investigate issues, identify root causes and partner with stakeholders to deliver sustainable remediation outcomes.

    • Prepare meaningful reporting and insights for governance forums and senior stakeholders.

    • Support policy, process and control improvements that strengthen adviser fee governance.

    • Contribute to testing and change initiatives to ensure controls remain effective as systems and processes evolve.

    • Build strong relationships across Distribution, Product, Investment Operations, Technology, Risk & Compliance and many other areas of the business.

This role could be for you if

You enjoy finding the answer that others might miss.

    You naturally ask:

    • "Does this look right?"

    • "Why did this happen?"

    • "How can we stop it happening again?"

You love balancing detail with commercial thinking and get genuine satisfaction from improving processes, reducing risk and creating better outcomes for customers.

    You're likely to bring:

    • Experience in governance, risk, compliance, audit or assurance within financial services, wealth management, platforms or advice businesses.

    • Exposure to adviser monitoring, fee governance, consent reviews or remediation activities.

    • Strong analytical capability and an ability to work comfortably with large datasets and reconciliations.

    • Knowledge of Australian financial services regulatory obligations relating to adviser fees, client records, remediation, complaints or incident management.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a simple and meaningful way.

    • A curious mindset and a desire to continually improve the way things are done.

    Why Apply?

You'll be joining a business that is continually evolving, investing in innovation and focused on creating exceptional experiences for advisers and clients.

You'll work alongside talented and collaborative people who genuinely care about what they do and support each other's success.

Our values aren't just posters on a wall. They're embedded in how we work every day: being collaborative, agile, genuine, optimistic, curious and courageous.

Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact.

Because when governance is done well, everybody benefits!
