As a Day Program Counselor at NCFL, you'll:
- Provide support, supervision, instruction, and assistance to program participants based on their individual habilitation, behavior, and medical plans.
- Plan and facilitate meaningful activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, vocational opportunities, social activities, and community integration.
- Support participants with daily living and personal care needs.
- Assist with transporting and/or escorting participants to and from the program, on NCFL grounds, and during community outings.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including daily logs, activity sheets, behavior tracking, and required incident reports.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized program environment and report any unsafe or non-working vehicles, equipment, or appliances.
- Communicate professionally with participants, families, coworkers, supervisors, and outside organizations, and participate in staff meetings and required inspections or investigations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including assisting with program purchases, maintaining receipts, and providing coverage to support the needs of the program and individuals served.

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday (only full-time available)
- Shifts: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
- Locations: Paramus, NJ & Rochelle Park, NJ
- Shift and location assignment depend on the needs of the program.
Compensation:
- $23.50/hour
- Overtime opportunities available in our Residential Program
What You'll Need:
- Valid driver’s license (must be non-provisional, non-probationary, and in good standing)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass background checks and a drug screening
- Willingness to transport clients in company vehicles to programs, appointments, and outings
- A caring attitude and ability to assist with daily living activities
