Weekend Nurse (LPN/RN)
Location: Carroll, Iowa
Schedule: Weekends 2 on 1 off 

8 or 12 hour shifts!

New Hope is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team caring for individuals with disabilities. This position is ideal for a nurse who values consistency, teamwork, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with our individuals while providing high-quality nursing care in a supportive environment.

Position Summary

The LPN/RN is responsible for providing direct nursing care, monitoring resident health status, administering medications and treatments, and working closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centered care. This role plays a key part in supporting the health, comfort, and quality of life of individuals living in our ICF setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies
• Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions accurately and safely
• Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions, responses to treatment, and changes in status
• Communicate changes in resident condition to providers, family members, and the care team as appropriate
• Collaborate with direct support staff, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Ensure accurate and timely charting in the medical record
• Promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life
• Follow all state, federal, and facility regulations related to resident care, infection control, and safety

License & Certifications

• Unencumbered RN/LPN license in Iowa

• Valid driver’s license and chauffeur’s license (D3) with a good driving record

• Ability to complete the Safety Care Training Course
