    Job description

    As a Maintenance Technician at New Story Schools, you will help create and maintain safe, functional, and welcoming learning environments for students and staff. You will perform general repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility improvements that keep our schools running smoothly every day.

    This is a floating Maintenance Technician position supporting multiple New Story and River Rock Academy locations and will travel to different locations based on business needs, including:

    New Story Harrisburg – 2700 Commerce Dr, Harrisburg, PA 17110

    New Story New Cumberland – 774 Limekiln Rd, New Cumberland, PA 17070

    New Story Carlisle – 346 York Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013

    New Story Lancaster – 3710 Hempland Rd, Mountville, PA 17554

    River Rock Academy Lancaster – 2124 Ambassador Dr, Lancaster, PA 17603

    What You’ll Need

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • At least two years of experience in general maintenance or repair services

    • Basic knowledge of drywall repair, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems

    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between regional school sites

    • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety

    What You’ll Do

    • Perform general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting

    • Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections across school facilities

    • Maintain building grounds, equipment, and tools to ensure operational readiness

    • Address and resolve maintenance requests promptly to prevent safety hazards

    • Support snow removal, landscaping, and facility upkeep throughout the year
