About the vacancy

Due to its continuous growth NewCold is looking to expand the IT Department with a new colleague who will be responsible for the implementation, co-design, maintenance, and support of our organization's network infrastructure based on Cisco technologies such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco ISE and Nexus and Catalyst range switches, firewalls and wireless technologies.

What will you do?

• Plan and deploy a network migration strategy.
• Build and automate all network related configurations within NewCold’s Cisco suite.
• Build and automate all network related components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Automating Mellanox/Nvidia and Fortigate technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their network requirements and provide technical guidance for network implementation.
• Operating Netbox as our network source of truth.
• Safeguarding a 4-eyed principle during design, plan and build.

Who are we looking for?

You have:

• A completed HBO / Bachelor Degree and applicable certifications
• 4-7 years relevant working experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• The ability to adopt new technologies fast.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols.
• Understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SDN and other network access controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex network issues.
• Understanding or ability to adapt to Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center and Nexus, Catalyst Operating systems.
• Understanding of Network Design and Network Automation (tools like Ansible and Python).
• Experience with Cumulus network operating system.
• Hardware installation experience and design principles.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), network architecture, and network security principles.
• Proficiency with Linux.
• Experience with Version Control and Clod Networking.
• Fully proficient in English, any other European language is a plus.
