Job Title: Procurement Manager

Who we are:

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in  development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards  future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research  towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic  swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric  high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground  launched stand-off autonomous system.

SUMMARY 

Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop and implement strategic procurement plans for all assigned systems and subsystems of   UAVs being developed and manufactured at NRT at the lowest total cost. This includes the development and coordination of key procurement strategies with the respective engineering team

Roles and Responsibilities:

● Lead the development of and execution of system & sub system level  management strategies for all assigned bought out items

● In line with strategic objectives, lead the negotiations to select, appoint and steer a supply base that progresses the company objectives on quality, cost, delivery and innovation

● Work with internal stakeholders to define requirements for the product development pipeline

● Evaluate competitive offers and present sourcing options that meet business requirements

● Ensure all selected suppliers are compliant to service level agreements

● Lead the category and supplier spend management activities with respective spend areas

● Conduct in depth cost and spend analysis in order to develop cost savings initiatives through various cost reduction options

● Carry out administrative responsibilities that effectively manage projects and contracting activities - Purchase Indent, Purchase Order

● Lead and expedite vendor selection and purchasing decisions through appropriate competitive bid and strategic sourcing processes

● Achieve all cost reduction savings targets

● Monitor, manage and report on achievements on key purchasing indicators in line with department requirements

● Immediately respond to unforeseen supply failures, working with manufacturing and suppliers to avoid supply chain interruptions.

● Develop and implement scalable procurement policies and implement suitable ERP systems

Requirements

● Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager

● Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as aquainted with the market

● Talent in negotiations and networking

● Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software

● Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers

● Experience in collecting and analyzing data

● Strong leadership capabilities

Minimum Qualification:

● BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration

● BE in any engineering discipline would be an added advantage

● 4 to 5 years of experience in Aerospace(preferred) / Automotive/ Robotics industry
