Product Designer

Who we are:

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Create design concepts

• Present product ideas to relevant team members for brainstorming

• Suggest improvements to design and performance to engineers

• Employ design concepts into functional prototypes

• Perform research on product technologies and structures to implement into design concepts

• Coordinate with designers to ensure accurate communication and efficiency in the design phase

• Modify and revise existing designs to meet expectations

• Moderate & conduct design process

• Periodic on-site product and user research

Must have:

• Proof of work and portfolio

• Excellent eye for aesthetic design and customer appeal

• Excellent attention to detail

• Conceptual model, Systems Thinking and Design Thinking practitioner

Good to have:

• Artistic and innovative flair

• Good understanding of color science and combinations

Basic Requirement:

• Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science/Human-Computer Interaction/Designer (optional)

• 2-5 years of product design experience

• Certified/experienced in usability study/testing
