Financial Reporting
· Conduct month and year-end closing, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and balanced.
- Provide management with financial analysis of manufacturing operations.
- Support financial related audits.
Cost Accounting & Inventory Management
- Maintain standard costing system and annual cost roll processes.
- Analyze product costs, material costs, labor costs, and manufacturing overhead.
- Proactive costing analysis to drive process improvements and accuracy of costing.
- Reconcile inventory sub-ledger to the general ledger.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Support physical inventory counts.
Manufacturing Analysis
- Monitor plant performance metrics and manufacturing KPIs.
- Proactive analysis of trends and leading indicators, supporting the business and Plant Leadership with data to understand and act.
- Partner with the Finance Director of Operations and Plant Leadership, providing sound business analytics and understanding of financials, with associated recommendations for ongoing improvements.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop weekly sales and EBITDA projections.
- Analyze actual performance versus budget and forecast.
- Develop annual operating plans and budgets.
Process Improvement
- Automate reporting and streamline financial processes where possible.
- Drive accountability across the organization to utilize Plex standard processes, while ensuring appropriate controls and oversight are in place.
Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to align business goals with financial performance.
- Support the development of business justifications, including ROIs.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Experience
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with standard costing and inventory accounting required.
- ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Plex, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with financial analysis and manufacturing operations.
