    Level up!

Nintendo Co., Ltd., headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, has been providing a wide range of entertainment products and experiences since its founding in 1889, beginning with the manufacture and sale of Hanafuda playing cards. Since the 1983 release of the Family Computer (Famicom) system in Japan, and continuing through Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo’s focus has been the development, manufacturing, and sale of its gaming systems and software.

At Nintendo, we bring together employees with a wide range of characteristics and work together towards a common goal – to put smiles on the faces of people all over the world.

    Tasks

    • Respond to technical support inquiries from third-party developers, ensuring timely and high-quality assistance
    • Investigate complex technical issues and provide effective solutions, including deep analysis of performance and system behavior
    • Support developers with GPU and CPU optimization on Nintendo platforms, including profiling, performance analysis, and best-practice guidance
    • Develop sample code, tools, and technical documentation (e.g., whitepapers, guidelines) to enable and educate developers
    • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., SDK, hardware, and tools teams) to resolve issues and improve developer experience
    • Represent Nintendo of Europe at industry events, participate in technical discussions with external partners, and respond to developer inquiries

    Requirements

    • University degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
    • Strong C++ programming skills, ideally in performance-critical or low-level systems
    • Experience in graphics programming and CPU/GPU optimization, including profiling and performance analysis of real-time applications
    • Solid understanding of rendering pipelines, shader development, and hardware-level performance considerations
    • Familiarity with modern graphics APIs such as Vulkan (SPIR-V), DirectX (HLSL), and/or OpenGL, and the ability to work with or quickly adapt to proprietary SDKs and graphics APIs
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical topics to developers
    • Willingness to travel for business within Europe and occasionally internationally (e.g., US, Japan)
    • Fluent written and spoken English language skills; Japanese language proficiency would be an advantage
    • Background in the games industry, ideally in graphics or optimization-focused roles would be a plus
    • Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity is a plus

Please bear in mind that it might be a Senior position depending on your professional experience.
