ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer to deliver configuration, integration, and development work across insurance transformation engagements. You will work directly within client environments to implement, extend, and optimise Guidewire's suite of products — helping insurers modernise their core policy, billing, and claims operations.

Guidewire certifications are a strong differentiator for this role and are actively highlighted in how we position our team to clients. Certified developers bring demonstrated platform credibility that accelerates trust, reduces ramp-up time, and strengthens the quality of our delivery. JD:

GWCP Integration Patterns (Must-Have)

• Cloud API development: consuming and extending system/composite APIs, API mapping/config
• Integration Gateway route development: Apache Camel, Java, deployment via CI/CD
• App Events/webhooks: outbound event configuration, payload shaping, consumer handshake

Core Integration Skills (Must-Have)

• Messaging architecture: message plugins, transport plugins, retry/error handling, idempotency
• Batch and file-based integrations: inbound/outbound file processing, scheduling, reconciliation
• Auth and payloads: OAuth2, REST/JSON, SOAP/XML; CSIO standard payload exposure a plus
• Gosu and Java proficiency; SQL for data validation and defect analysis

Migration-Specific

• Converting legacy Gosu plugins / SOAP services to supported GWCP patterns
• Working without direct server access: Cloud Console log analysis, environment promotion via pipelines

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, configure, and develop solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter
• Build and maintain integrations between Guidewire and third-party systems including billing providers, document management, reinsurance platforms, and external data services
• Develop and extend Guidewire using Gosu scripting, configuration, and product model customization
• Support Guidewire Cloud Platform deployments including environment management, pipeline configuration, and cloud-specific architecture considerations
• Collaborate with business analysts and solution architects to translate requirements into Guidewire configurations and custom development
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and technical documentation in line with Guidewire best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects across configuration, integration, and data layers
• Support data migration activities including mapping, validation, and transformation logic
• Contribute to upgrade and patch activities, assessing impact and managing regression risk
• Work alongside client technical teams to enable knowledge transfer and build internal capability

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Overall 6+ years of experience with 3+ years of hands-on Guidewire development or implementation experience
• Proficiency in Gosu scripting and Guidewire configuration and product model development
• Experience with at least one of: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter in a live implementation or upgrade
• Familiarity with integration patterns including REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON
• Ability to read and contribute to technical design documentation and solution architecture
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in client-facing delivery teams
