Responsible for providing information and education regarding breastfeeding to patients and families and assists patients with the establishment of lactation. Does this position require Patient Care? YesQualifications
Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Certified Lactation Counselor/Consultant [CLC] - Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice preferred International Board Certified Lactation Consultant [IBCLC] - International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) preferred
Experience
Lactation consulting 2-3 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong patient/customer service skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
MA RN license required
