The Enterprise Basel Capital Production and Reporting Team is part of the Controller’s Division of Corporate Finance. The team is responsible for producing quarterly management quantitative reporting for Basel III, ICAAP/Economic Capital/CCAR, Regulatory Schedules (FFIEC 101 FRY-14Q, 10Q), and Pillar III. It also responds to regulatory inquiries, completes studies and surveys proposed by the agencies, performs ad-hoc analysis for Basel/Capital initiatives, and participates in regulatory and audit reviews that include coverage of Basel related calculation and reporting.
The responsibilities of the Analytics Manager 3 on this team may include, but not be limited to the following:
Work with senior credit officers and business lines on a day-to-day basis to communicate implications of changing regulatory environment.
Analyze quarterly capital results to inform management on trends.
Analyze and report on financial impact of proposed strategic business initiatives.
Responsible for responding to regulatory inquiries and completing studies and surveys proposed by the agencies.
Understand the capital infrastructure, Reveleus and its data model. Be able to extract information necessary for management reporting. Query, and organize data to create necessary reports and present it to drive decision making.
Responsible for risk weighted asset forecasting, management reporting allocation analysis, and other ad hoc projects.
Build capital calculation approach in highly complex capital model and computational system, working closely with technical specialist to implement the design.
Support the capital infrastructure, Reveleus, to develop rules and monitor compliance necessary to provide capital calculations and management reporting. Lead change request within SDLC process.
Identifies and recommends internal and external data sources, compiles/mines data from multiple, cross business sources recommends and participates in the development of complex analysis designs using statistical and/or financial analysis, predictive modeling, process documentation, comparative analysis, etc. interprets results and recommends solutions to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency/quality, etc.
Ensures adherence to data management regulations and policies.
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years reporting and analytical experience and 3+ years management experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with VBA, SQL, Essbase and Power Excel/Access user
Experience validating detailed analyses
Experience evaluating risk and risk management practices at large financial institutions
Familiarity with asset-specific workstreams in at least one of the following: retail, wholesale, derivatives, repurchase agreements/margin loans, securitization, and/or equities
Strong analytical, problem solving abilities and attention to detail
3 years Basel or CCAR experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Basel and/or Dodd-Frank regulations and CCAR
Previous experience in FP&A, treasury, M&A, or capital markets arena
Experience with statistical methods and applications
Experience with SDLC change request, risk weighted asset allocation and reconciliation methodologies.
Proven high performer who is self-directed with outstanding written and communication and oral presentation skills
