Assistant Coach- Men's Rowing

About the Opportunity

Summary:

The Assistant Coach of Men's Rowing will work closely with and under the supervision of the Head Coach in the management of a Division I Men's Rowing Program aspiring to compete for a national championship. The Assistant Coach will bring strong sport specific knowledge and experience to this position with the expectation that this role will contribute significantly to the professionalism of the coaching staff and the integrity, quality, and success of the program and the student-athletes. The Assistant Coach will have input into the technical and physiological training programs implemented. The Assistant Coach will also work closely with the Head Coach to recruit exceptional student - athletes. The Assistant Coach will work under the direction of the Head Coach to advance the skills and strength of all of the student-athletes (freshmen through seniors) and all of the crews within the Men's Rowing Program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• College rowing experience
• 2-3 years of coaching or commensurate experience
• Valid driver license
• Ability to travel extensively
• Willingness to work long days and to work on weekends and holidays
• Exceptional interpersonal skills

Responsibilities Include:

• Partner with the Head Coach and the Associate Head Coach to advance the skill and fitness levels of all student-athletes, particularly freshmen and sophomores.
• Work closely with coaching staff to identify prospects who will contribute significantly to our university and rowing team, and, who will benefit from Northeastern's unique process of Experiential Learning in Higher Education.
• Assist in managing the operation of the Men's Rowing Program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to travel planning, NCAA compliance, and daily logistics of program operation.

Expected Hiring Range:

$48,610.00 - $66,838.75

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
