Forest Hill - Maintenance Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

General duties in maintenance in masonry, mechanical and electrical areas.   Under general day-to-day supervision, applies knowledge of a specific field using several varied procedures and techniques.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintains all refrigeration equipment.
2. Assists Carpenter when needed.
3. Assists Electrician when needed.
4. Assists in groundskeeping and snow removal when needed.
5. Participates in the Preventative Maintenance Program.
6. Provides strict patient confidentiality.
7. Assists in boiler plant operations.
8. Performs such related duties not listed herein but deemed in the best interest of NMMC.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent. 

Minimum of one year in carpentry.  

Holds valid Refrigeration Technicians Certificate. 

Will train in all other areas required. 

WORKER TRAITS:

1. Verbal ability is necessary to communicate with workers and other members of hospital staff and to interpret technical manuals related to maintenance.
2. Numerical ability is necessary to make proper calculations for estimates of repair and maintenance.
3. Manual and finger dexterity.
