    Responsibilities

    Cardiac CRNA/AA has a PRN/as needed opportunity at our Northside Hosptial Gwinnett campus. Northside Hospital Gwinnett is a growing, Level 2 Trauma Hospital with a rhobust Cardiac program. The Cardiac team treats from preventative care to complex procedures.

    Qualifications

  1. CRNA Requirements

  2. Holds current active state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Georgia and complies with any applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs.
  3. Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
  4. Is currently certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
  5. Cardiac Experience in the EP or Cath Lab
  6. Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state.
  7. Demonstrates current competency in the clinical responsibilities.
  8. Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist in the facility setting on a regular basis.
  9. Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care as well as necessary perioperative or operating room care to support the safety and wellbeing of the patient while they are under the direct care of the CRNA.
  10. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with various clinical staff and other disciplines.
  11. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served.
  12. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs.
  13. Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques.
  14. Ability to maintain confidential records.
  15. Ability to implement and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
  16. Preferred:

  17. One (1) year experience.
  18. AA Requirements 

  19. Graduate of a Master’s degree in Anesthesia
  20. Holds current active state licensure as an Anesthesiologist Assistant in the state of Georgia and complies with any applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CAA’s.
  21. Cardiac Experience in the EP or Cath Lab
