Directs and coordinates the daily activities of assigned department including budget, personnel, patient care, and regulatory compliance. Acts as a liaison between their assigned department and the referring physician's offices. May work with neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. In Cardiology Services, the Nuclear Medicine supervisor serves adult and geriatric patients.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED:1. Must be a graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program, OR an accredited Ultrasonography program, OR an accredited Radiologic technology program, OR an accredited MRI technology program.2. Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board; OR Registrationas a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of RadiologyTechnologists (ARRT), OR Registered by the American Registry of DiagnosticMedical Sonographers (ARDMS); OR Registration as an MRI Technologist by ARRTor AMRIT; or Registration as a CT Technologist by ARRT.3. Three (3) or more years of clinical experience.4. Must hold Certification in the American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support(BLS).
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATIONPREFERRED1. One (1) year of supervisory experience.
