Nurse Manager

Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center (NWMRMC) is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Manager – Telemetry/Med-Surgical to lead and support our nursing staff while promoting high-quality patient outcomes.

The Nurse Manager provides operational and clinical leadership for the Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units, ensuring safe patient care, staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and efficient unit operations. This position plays a vital role in fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight for daily operations of the Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote professional development and clinical excellence
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Monitor staffing levels and coordinate scheduling to meet patient care needs
• Promote adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of nursing staff
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes
• Monitor and evaluate clinical quality indicators, patient satisfaction, and unit performance metrics
• Support compliance with DNV, CMS, and other regulatory standards
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
• Manage unit resources, supplies, and operational budgets as assigned
• Respond effectively to patient care concerns and operational challenges
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Mississippi or valid Compact State Licensure.

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certification required.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience required. Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
