We are looking for a lawyer to join our global Legal Compliance team in Lyngby, Denmark. Together, we partner with the business to enable responsible growth while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

In this role, you will serve as a legal business partner influencing decisions with independent judgment, helping Novonesis drive strategic compliance initiatives across a global organization.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Providing practical, risk-based advice to business leaders and stakeholders on  compliance-related dilemmas.
    • Driving global compliance projects from design and stakeholder alignment through implementation, communication, training, and follow-up.
    • Providing compliance assessments related to emerging regulatory requirements and helping define effective governance and ownership models.
    • Leading investigations, and remediation initiatives.
    • Building compliance awareness and fostering a proactive culture of integrity across functions, regions, and commercial teams.
    • Leading and continuously improving Novonesis' global anti-corruption compliance program.
    • Working closely with line of business, and other corporate functions in headquarters as well as in the regions.

This role offers a unique opportunity to remain close to complex legal and regulatory questions while taking ownership of implementation, change management, and strategic compliance initiatives across the business.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

    We imagine you bring:

    • A Master's degree in Law.
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience from an international company, law firm, consultancy, audit firm, enforcement-related function, or compliance role.
    • Experience advising on anti-corruption, trade sanctions, or other areas of legal compliance and regulatory risk.
    • Experience in conflict handling, investigations, and contract drafting
    • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
    • The ability to translate complex legal and compliance matters into clear and actionable business guidance.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across functions and cultures in a global environment.

Qualified and licensed lawyers are encouraged to apply. The role offers the opportunity to maintain an active license (“bestalling”) to practice law while building an in-house career.

    • You want to have fun at work. Because we do!
    • You have a can-do attitude and seek solutions, where you have identified challenges.
    • You are able to combine compliance expertise with business acumen to balance risk, value and strategic priorities
    • You appreciate building strong stakeholder relationships and trust across the organization
    • You embrace new technology and AI responsibly to enhance insights and efficiency

You are a person of high integrity with strong ethical standards and sound judgment.

You thrive in environments where you must balance legal requirements, business realities, and risk considerations. You are comfortable constructively challenging decisions when necessary and are recognized for providing pragmatic, solution-oriented advice.

You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and can independently drive complex initiatives while building strong relationships across the organization. You are curious, collaborative, open-minded, and value diverse perspectives and ways of working.
