Revenue Cycle Operations Lead

Pay: $22.00-$28.00/hour DOE
This position is not a work-from-home position and requires a highly independent individual who is comfortable taking ownership of projects, troubleshooting issues, and driving operational improvements with minimal supervision. Primary location of work is in Henderson, NV.
Position Summary
Nevada Pediatric Specialists is seeking a highly organized and proactive Revenue Cycle Operations Lead to support our growing Revenue Cycle Department. This role serves as a key operational resource by assisting with billing operations, payer research, appeals tracking, reporting, staff training, workflow improvement, and departmental process management.
The ideal candidate has medical billing or revenue cycle experience, strong follow-through, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to independently research and solve problems before escalating issues.
Responsibilities
- Support billing and coding staff with workflow and operational questions
- Research payer policies, billing requirements, and reimbursement guidelines
- Track and follow up on appeals, denials, and outstanding payer issues
- Run recurring reports and maintain department dashboards and trackers
- Create and maintain SOPs, training materials, and workflow documentation
- Coordinate onboarding and training support for new staff
- Maintain department workflows, project trackers, and follow-up logs
- Assist with medical record requests, credentialing documentation, and administrative projects
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement solutions
- Serve as a resource for staff while promoting accountability and consistency
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3 years of medical billing, revenue cycle, insurance, or healthcare operations experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicaid, and medical billing processes
- Excellent Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- eClinicalWorks experience
- Appeals and denial management experience
- Experience creating SOPs and training materials
- Pediatrics experience
- CPC certification (preferred but not required)
