Your next challenge

We are looking for a Junior Recruiter to join our People team and support recruiting for global clients, with a primary focus on technical positions across the United States, Mexico, and Latin America. This hands-on role combines talent acquisition, recruitment coordination, and opportunities to contribute to broader People initiatives. This position is based in Arlington, VA, where our team collaborates onsite four days per week.

You will manage the full lifecycle recruiting process from kickoff calls and sourcing through interviews, offer letters, and onboarding. You will build relationships with hiring managers, learn the business, gather and share relevant market information, follow established processes, and communicate proactively. You will also assist with ad hoc People and office initiatives, including employee activities, meeting coordination, and occasional office logistics.

Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned requisitions across the full recruitment lifecycle—including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, and offer preparation—with coaching and support available as needed.
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand job requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring priorities.
• Source and engage candidates across the United States, Mexico, and Latin America using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, and other sourcing channels.
• Conduct initial candidate screens and provide clear, timely updates to candidates and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
• Schedule interviews and support a positive, consistent candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely candidate records and recruiting activity in the applicant tracking system and related tracking tools.
• Learn the differences among regional talent markets and adapt sourcing and outreach approaches for different candidate audiences.
• Manage assigned priorities, follow through on commitments, and communicate proactively with a globally distributed team.
• Continuously build knowledge of emerging AI tools and apply relevant learnings to improve day-to-day recruiting work.
• Explore and share practical ways AI can strengthen recruiting practices, streamline processes, and improve team efficiency.
• Support ad hoc people initiatives, including employee engagement efforts, office activities, team projects, and other improvements that enhance the employee experience and workplace effectiveness.

Required Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, sourcing, human resources, or a related field.
• Proven experience working within an applicant tracking system and leveraging sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve recruiting or business workflows, with the curiosity and practical knowledge to introduce new approaches, share best practices, and help the team expand its capabilities.
• Aptitude to learn new roles, technologies, markets, and recruiting tools.
• Eagerness to learn, openness to feedback, and the ability to apply coaching and take on greater responsibility over time.
• A proactive and resourceful approach, with the confidence to ask questions, follow up, and move assigned work forward.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and teammates.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
• Sound judgment when handling confidential information and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Nice-to-Have:

• Professional proficiency in Spanish to support collaboration across Mexico and Latin America.
• Experience in a staffing agency, corporate recruiting team, or similarly fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to technical recruiting or sourcing for technology-related roles.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools to support research, organization, sourcing, or recruiting workflows.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
