Petroleum Equipment Service Technician- Training Provided!

Nwestco is looking for a hands-on Service Technician to join our Fresno team. Petroleum experience is NOT required—we’re willing to train candidates with strong mechanical or electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.

If you’ve worked as a mechanic, maintenance technician, electrician, HVAC tech, equipment technician, field service tech, or in another skilled trade, your experience could translate well into this role.

What You’ll Do:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment

• Service fuel dispensers, pumps, motors, sensors, controls, and monitoring systems

• Diagnose equipment failures and replace faulty components

• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections

• Respond to service calls at customer locations

• Use meters, diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools

• Work independently in a field-service environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experience

• Experience repairing or maintaining equipment

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable using hand and power tools

• Dependable, safety-focused, and willing to learn

• Ability to work independently and interact with customers

Petroleum experience is a plus, not a requirement. Experience with Gilbarco, Wayne, Veeder-Root, Gasboy, Verifone, dispensers, POS systems, or UST/AST systems is highly valued and may qualify you for higher pay.

We’ll teach you the petroleum industry—you bring the troubleshooting skills, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Before You Leap:

Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:

• Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.

• Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check. This position is classified as safety-sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.

• Driving Requirement: This position requires regular operation of a Company vehicle. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a current, valid and unrestricted driver’s license, and have no DUI convictions or driver’s license suspensions or revocations within the past five (5) years. Employment is contingent upon verification of an acceptable motor vehicle record and meeting the Company’s automobile insurance eligibility requirements.
