Illini Environmental Inc. is an EPA Permitted Non-Hazardous Disposal Facility that actively maintains environmental risk management to mitigate exposure to potential liability. The Supervisor will plan work activities and provide direct oversight of daily operations performed onsite for industrial service projects and emergency response activities across the Midwest. Responsible for all aspects of industrial service and emergency response projects, including direct supervision of the crew, oversight of specialized equipment and subcontractors onsite; implementation of the behavioral safety program, quality control, and procurement for the project site.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the response and service crew and manage the execution of industrial services and emergency response activities performed onsite, while tracking the team’s daily progress in accordance with the project schedule, work plans, and technical specifications
- Work closely with site safety to reinforce ILLINI’s culture of safety; ensure all employees remain in compliance with safety plans, company policies and procedures, and assist project management with daily morning safety meetings onsite
- Evaluate the competencies of crew members to ensure safe operation of industrial service equipment and emergency response tools to mitigate company risk and address any safety concerns
- Monitor the performance levels of the crew onsite, including training, coaching, and disciplinary action when necessary
- Generate daily reports to document progress, production, and response activities with a high level of accuracy
- Prepare and track daily time sheets to align with the completion of work activities
- Maintain an adequate inventory of materials, specialized equipment, and response supplies onsite that consistently support production/response deadlines and adhere to the budget for the scope of work
- Ensure all work performed onsite is conducted in compliance with quality standards and within the scope of the contract in place with the client
- Manage production and response goals related to project estimates; share input and feedback with the Project Management team regarding the overall management of project safety, productivity, quality of work, and financial status of the project
Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of experience in industrial services and/or emergency response (including spill response, industrial cleaning, hazardous materials handling, or related field activities)
- Strong understanding of safety related to the safe operation of industrial service equipment and emergency response procedures is mandatory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) to generate daily reports efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy
- Must be able to work in an industrial/construction environment onsite with exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, hazardous materials, and inclement weather
- Must be willing and able to travel to job site locations in the Midwest as assigned to work onsite and manage daily operations
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and physical exam
