    Role Purpose

Pastry Senior Sous Chef – Rhubarb Hospitality London Events
    Salary: £48,000 based in SW18

We're looking for a Pastry Senior Sous Chef to support the leadership of our kitchen team and help deliver exceptional culinary experiences at some of the UK's most prestigious events. From VIP hospitality and luxury canapé receptions to world-class sporting occasions and high-profile celebrations, you'll play a key role in creating unforgettable food experiences.

This isn't your typical Senior Sous Chef role. You'll be working behind the scenes at iconic events, from movie premieres rubbing shoulders with A-listers, Wimbledon's hallowed grounds, and the elegance of Royal Ascot.

    What you'll be doing

    • Variety every day – tastings, menu development, client events, and operational planning
    • Support and mentor a talented brigade across multiple London venues and events
    • Work with premium ingredients and deliver food at the highest standard
    • Work / life balance that actually exists – Primarily daytime hours with flexibility for select evening events and weekends. Because great chefs deserve great lives too.

    What we're looking for:

    • Strong background in high-volume hospitality, luxury events, fine dining, or 5-star hotels
    • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef leading successful kitchen teams
    • Passion for developing people, maintaining standards, and driving consistency
    • High standards with a positive, collaborative, and hands-on approach

    Good to know
This role offers a competitive salary of up to £48,000 along with a comprehensive management development program designed to support your career progression. You will benefit from a 40% discount across all restaurants and venues, meals provided on duty, and access to exciting career opportunities within an international business. You will also receive ongoing support from one of London’s top culinary teams, alongside outstanding employee recognition programs that celebrate your achievements.

    Our Inclusion Commitments

OVG is for everyone. Diversity drives innovation, strengthens our people, improves our service, and raises our excellence.

Wherever you come from, wherever you are going, we’d love to hear from you.

If you need any additional support or adjustments with your application, let us know and we will work with you to ensure you have everything you need.

Employee Screening and Eligibility to Work

In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
