As an ESL Teacher, you'll plan, deliver, and assess instruction that supports the language development and cultural integration of non-native English-speaking students. You'll be the school's go-to expert on language acquisition, using assessment data and proven strategies so every student can build the English skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
You'll make sure every ESL student has access to the same rich, rigorous learning opportunities as their peers, no exceptions. That means creating engaging, differentiated lessons in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, providing one-on-one and small-group support, and partnering closely with families to keep language goals front and center. Above all, you'll be driven by a genuine commitment to your students' growth, confidence, and success, and to the success of the school community as a whole.
