    Job description

    Who We Are

MDR Pharmacy is looking for a motivated and well-rounded HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. As an independent specialty pharmacy, we take pride in providing an exceptional experience for our patients—and in supporting the employees who make that experience possible.

Our environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and hands-on. This position is a great opportunity for an HR professional who has built a solid foundation and is ready to broaden their experience across multiple areas of Human Resources.

    What You Will Do

As an HR Generalist, you will work closely with the HR Manager and support employees and supervisors across the organization. You will independently manage routine HR processes while assisting with more complex employee matters as your experience develops.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of HR functions, including:

    Employee Relations & HR Support

    • Serve as an accessible HR resource for employees and supervisors regarding routine workplace questions, policies, and HR processes.
    • Assist with employee relations matters, documentation, performance counseling, and other workplace concerns.
    • Recognize matters requiring additional review and appropriately escalate them to the HR Manager.

    Leave Administration & Workers' Compensation

    • Support the administration and tracking of employee leaves of absence and workplace accommodations.
    • Coordinate documentation, employee communication, deadlines, and follow-up throughout the leave process.
    • Assist with workers' compensation claims, employee follow-up, and coordination with external claims administrators.

    Recruitment & Onboarding

    • Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and communication with hiring managers.
    • Support new employees through the pre-hire and onboarding process.
    • Maintain accurate hiring documentation and ensure required steps are completed timely.

    Benefits & HR Operations

    • Assist employees with routine benefit questions, enrollment, and qualifying life events.
    • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS information.
    • Support employee status changes, separations, documentation, audits, and other HR processes.
    • Help ensure HR practices and records remain consistent with company policies and applicable requirements.

    What We're Looking For

    • 2–4 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with exposure to multiple HR functions.
    • Experience with areas such as employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, HRIS, compliance, or employee records.
    • Ability to independently manage routine HR responsibilities while recognizing when guidance or escalation is appropriate.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, complete documentation.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organization, prioritization, and follow-through.
    • Sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive employee information.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience working with an HRIS is preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent HR experience will be considered.

Who Will Succeed in This Role

You may be a strong fit if you have already developed a solid foundation in HR and are looking for an opportunity to take greater ownership of your work.

You don't need to be an expert in every area of Human Resources. We are looking for someone who understands the fundamentals, asks good questions, follows through, communicates professionally, and is interested in developing broader experience in areas such as employee relations, leave administration, workers' compensation, compliance, and performance management.

    What We Offer

MDR provides an opportunity to work within a hands-on HR environment where you can gain meaningful exposure across the employee lifecycle. We offer reliable schedules, competitive compensation, employer-sponsored benefit plans, paid holidays, and vacation.
