Job Responsibilities:
- Team & Task Monitoring: Track, assign, and monitor the daily tasks of Type Approval team members to ensure partner certification timelines stay on schedule.
- Site-Visit Scheduling & Deployment: Coordinate and arrange the calendar for all on-site partner visits, managing team logistics to meet testing deadlines.
- Certification Verification Testing: Drive the execution of the official certification testing lifecycle for partners ready for final approval evaluation.
- On-Site Validation & Testing: Travel to integration partner facilities to physically perform the definitive suite of hardware-software functionality, compatibility, and compliance tests.
- Certification Sign-Off & Feedback: Audit test data to authorize certification status and professionally communicate test failures or remediation requirements to partners when they do not meet standards.
- Escalated Technical Assistance: Collaborate with the Professional Services team to provide secondary, high-level troubleshooting assistance when partners face complex bugs that block approval. Assist the development teams to understand the technical integration issues.
- Process Documentation: Maintain, update, and refine the testing checklists, requirement criteria, and certification databases used by the Type Approval team.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Professional Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in product integration, technical field engineering, QA testing, or type approval roles.
- Leadership & Scheduling Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a team lead or management role, with a proven track record of managing team schedules, calendars, or field deployments.
- Partner Conflict Management: Proven experience handling difficult technical conversations with external vendors or partners, with the ability to manage friction and deliver test failure results diplomatically.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong background handling combined hardware and software systems (e.g., embedded systems, IoT, connected devices, or complex tech ecosystems).
- Hands-on Testing Skills: Experience executing physical test plans, diagnosing software-hardware bugs, and using validation tools on-site.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly alongside a Professional Services team and development teams with understanding on the different roles, viewpoints and focuses of different teams to resolve escalated partner issues efficiently.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel to integration partner locations to conduct the final on-site testing and validation phase, and travel to production sites to assist revolving issues.
- Language Skills: Professional fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Industry Integration (Nice to Have): Prior experience working with POS (Point of Sale) integration, payment processing systems, or smart kiosk deployments is highly advantageous.
- Regulatory & Standards (Nice to Have): Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 27001, or Stored Value Facility (SVF) frameworks and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) guidelines for SVF licenses is an advantage.
- Testing Automation (Nice to Have): Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) or experience with automated QA tools to streamline the certification testing process is an advantage.
