Job Responsibilities:
Technical Collaboration
- Share knowledge and provide guidance to team members to maintain expertise in core technologies, including the effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted development tools (e.g. code generation, testing, and analysis tools).
- Promote best practices in software development, coding standards, and system design.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and quality improvement within development teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain operational integrity.
Product Realization
- Work in collaboration with multiple project teams to ensure consistent implementation across the backend systems.
- Perform requirement analysis and transform clients’ business needs into high quality technical specifications that meet technical and business objectives
- Perform design and development for the enhancements of various Octopus systems, in accordance with the planned schedule and quality.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve development productivity, code quality, and defect detection where applicable.
- Perform source code review, optimization, and tuning.
- Perform testing and support production launch.
- Provide high-quality technical documentation including development and testing artefacts.
- Perform system support in compliance with Quality Management System.
Job Requirments:
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in information systems development.
- Well experienced in development using Java/J2EE, JMS, XML, JSP, JavaScript, SQL and SOAP web services
- Hand-on experience in SQL server, Oracle, Scripting language.
- Knowledge and experience in WebLogic, JBoss, UML and object-oriented tools.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices
- Experienced in preparation of high-quality technical documents.
- Basic understanding or working experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, code assistants, AI-based testing tools) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge and proven experience in architectural design and relevant software development, implementation, integration and launch.
- Strong background in Java, Spring framework, etc.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools for efficient delivery
- Knowledge on system design principles
- Experience in Oracle, Web service, MQ, AWS and MS Azure.
- Basic understanding of AI concepts (e.g. API-based AI services, or data-driven system design) and their application in enterprise systems in a plus.
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Able to work under pressure and self-motivated.
- Excellent problem solving skills
