The role combines cash management, sales processing, and front‑line customer service, requiring meticulous record‑keeping, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to keep the checkout area organized and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Receive, count, and verify cash transactions accurately.
- Perform daily cash register closures and generate cut reports.
- Conduct cash reconciliations (arqueo) and resolve any discrepancies.
- Issue invoices and process payments for merchandise sales.
- Collect payments for merchandise on behalf of the store.
- Review incoming merchandise for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
- Provide friendly, efficient service to customers at the checkout.
- Maintain an organized cash‑handling area and keep documentation up to date.
- Collaborate with sales and inventory teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow company policies, security procedures, and loss‑prevention guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; commercial studies a plus.
- Minimum 1 year experience in cash handling or retail sales.
- Dynamic personality with strong enthusiasm for sales and customer service.
