Project Manager – Mid-Level (TGS)

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager – Mid-Level (TGS) supporting the Cyber TMAS III contract for the Air Force.

As the SE‑3 TGS Project Manager / Project Engineer, you will support planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of 96 CTG test projects, including developing test requirements, preparing cost estimates, documenting project activities, and coordinating test resources across stakeholders.

This is a full‑time position at Eglin AFB, FL.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

• Provide programmatic support for a wide range of 96 CTG test projects.
• Prepare test cost estimates, customer test agreements, test directives, and other project documentation.
• Initiate and develop test requirements and supervise complex test projects including mission planning systems, flight testing, weapons testing, electronic warfare testing, software testing, and cybersecurity testing.
• Provide training and mentoring to 96 CTG project managers on test processes, project management processes, metrics, and budget control.
• Manage the financial status of test projects—including coordinating with financial managers, monitoring funding documents, verifying expenses, and ensuring compliance with DoD financial and contractual guidance.
• Coordinate test resource requirements with customers, leadership, and test engineering personnel.
• Coordinate project approvals, safety, technical support, range management, facilities, logistics, security, frequency management, and reporting for assigned programs.
• Manage project information using Government test management systems for documentation workflows, financial oversight, and project management tracking.
• Travel occasionally to support project planning, execution, and reporting.

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Active Secret clearance required

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and at least 3 years of technical experience (additional experience may substitute for education)

• Air Force acquisition project management experience
• Experience designing and implementing DoD software or hardware test strategies
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional coursework or certification
• Air Force operations, test, or project management experience
• Experience in one or more of the following: C4ISR, Range maintenance, Data Links, Defensive Systems, or Cybersecurity test planning/execution

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, weapons systems, DT&E and OT&E processes
• Experience designing and implementing test strategies for DoD hardware or software systems
• Ability to develop project documentation, cost estimates, schedules, test agreements, and directives
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage project financials, funding documents, and DoD compliance requirements
• Experience interfacing with multiple stakeholders to define scope, maintain status, develop schedules/budgets, and support project execution

Interpersonal Skills

• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to train, mentor, and support other project managers
• Ability to coordinate with diverse internal and external stakeholders across DoD programs
