As a Setter, you are responsible for preparing, setting up, and adjusting production equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and high‑quality manufacturing operations. The role plays a critical part in ensuring that machines, tools, and processes are correctly configured before and during production runs, in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.
Set up and adjust production machines, tools, fixtures, and parameters according to work instructions
Perform changeovers to ensure correct configuration for different products or production runs
Verify machine settings, tooling alignment, and process parameters before production start
Support production during startup to ensure quality, yield, and cycle time targets are met
Identify and correct basic equipment or process deviations during operation
Conduct first‑piece checks and support quality verification activities
Collaborate with technicians and engineers to resolve setup‑related issues
Ensure compliance with safety rules, quality standards, and operational procedures
Document setup activities and parameter changes as required
Technical or vocational qualification in manufacturing, mechanics, automation, or a related field
Proven experience as a Setter or similar role in a production environment
Good understanding of machine setup, tooling, and basic process control
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, setup sheets, and work instructions
Basic troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Strong safety awareness and quality mindset
Willingness to work in shift‑based operations if required
