Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort located in Santa Fe, NM is looking for a Pool Technician to join our Team!

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Pool Supervisor, the Certified Pool Operator maintain resort pools and ensure their cleanliness and safety by completing the following duties: responding to water hygiene incidents, cleaning filters, performing water cleaning, running tests, servicing pool systems, identifying and repairing cracks and leaks, and reporting water quality to managers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain pools, including cleaning, checking chemical levels, adding appropriate chemicals to pool, and inspecting pool      equipment in accordance with Ojo Santa Fe Standard Operating Procedure.
2. Pools include all soaking pools at the Spa and Resort, in addition to the private pools at the Spa and sensory deprivation pool.
3. Understand basic water chemistry, filter cleanings, back-washing, algae treatments, etc.
4. Vacuum and brush sidewalls and floors, cleaning pumps and skimmer baskets, etc.
5. Inspect pool equipment and promptly report any issues with the operation of the equipment.
6. Respond quickly and communicate clearly regarding inquiries from managers and employees.
7. Complete hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly logs and documents.
8. Troubleshoot problems. Treat situations urgently, depending on circumstances.
9. Perform responsibilities safely, according to State and Federal regulations and Ojo Santa Fe Standard Operating Procedure.
