Position Overview/Purpose
Facilitates proposal process, including collaboration with cross-functional. Responsible for document preparation
(i.e., desktop publishing and proofreading), document versioning, response compliance, production, and proposal assembly. Works with Bid & Proposal Managers and Knowledge Managers to produce best-in-class proposals

Major Job Activities
* Leads preparation of small to large proposals for local, state, federal, & Enterprise customers. Participates in proposal process status meetings.
* Establishes electronic file structure, proposal file access, and tracking protocols to ensure the security and integrity of proposal documentation. Support COMPASS archive process and procedures for all proposal materials.
* Analyzes bid requirements against proposal outline to ensure both compliance and responsiveness to customer’s issues/needs.
* Ensures adherence to national proposal templates, processes, tools, and quality standards.
* Assists in the creation of the proposal outline and develops plan for final production and required production resources.
* Coordinates internal flow and review of proposal inputs and outputs from functional teams with strict adherence to deadlines.
* Maintains real-time development status of all proposal text and graphics.
* Provides desk top publishing and some graphic art services.
* Ensure all required legal documentation is included.
* Prints, assembles, and distributes proposal and all hard/soft copies.
* Ensures Proposal Center facilities and resources are stocked and ready to support review and production
Knowledge of…
Proposal development best practices, database repositories, Visio, Adobe, SalesForce.com, & Go To Meeting. Basic proposal layout knowledge, as well as best practices. Extensive knowledge of short-cut keys and proofreading symbols.

Skills…
Strong copyediting and proofreading skills. Skilled desktop publisher. Advanced MS Word skills & strong PowerPoint skills. Good Adobe pdf maker skills. Good written and oral communication skills. Skilled working with a variety of production equipment and materials.

Abilities...
Ability to work effectively in team environment. Able to balance multiple projects and tasks in high stress environment. Must be able to collate, organize, and assemble proposal material that weigh up to 50 lbs.

Education Required/Preferred
Bachelor's degree plus 2 years experience preferred
