• Prepares laboratory specimens for designated departments/locations prior to laboratory analysis and testing.
• Unpacks specimens from branches or ports and routes specimens by type to various staging areas.
• Prepares all specimens received for testing in designated laboratory departments or locations such as staging of specimens, centrifuge, separate serum, and blood smears.
• Aliquots sample for departments.
• Prepares excess specimen samples for storage and resolves and document problem specimens.

• Able to work independently, as well as a team.

• This position will do data entry, imaging of requisitions, prepping specimens for storage and retrieval, preparing and packing specimens for shipping.

• Need to be able to sit/stand for long periods of time and be flexible with job assignments.

• Good interpersonal skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

License/Certification/Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience.
• Must pass data entry test with 6000 ksph and 3% or less error rate.
• 3-6 months of production-driven type work.
• Prefer someone with Medical background and good computer skills.
