Your challenge
As a Senior Software Engineer, you develop and improve OMP’s industry solution and enrich its functionality in a robust, innovative, and scalable way, applying your expertise to solve real-life industry challenges for our customers.
You are responsible for:
- Translating functional requirements into detailed, industry-specific technical solution designs and algorithms, and refining them into clear technical specifications.
- Writing code that lives up to our high-quality standards, in adherence to scrum methodology and compliant with the most recent standards in your preferred technology.
- Discussing and validating functional requirements in close collaboration with our seasoned solution managers, solution analysts, and solution consultants.
- Reviewing code written by your team members.
- Collaborating closely with software and quality assurance test engineers, analysts, consultants, technical writers, and project managers.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including software and QA engineers, analysts, consultants, technical writers, and project managers—while maintaining and supporting developments based on user feedback.
About you
Essential talents and qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar, or equivalent by experience.
- 5+ years of proven experience in C++ programming.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable software through clean code, testing, and code reviews.
- Powerful technical skills, a creative mindset and excellent algorithmic and conceptual thinking.
- The eagerness to learn and stay on the edge of technology.
- A passion for working in a multinational, customer-driven environment with a customer-centric attitude.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience in using software development best practices (e.g., design patterns, UML, Git, automated testing).
- Supply chain planning knowledge.
- Experience in developing multi-tier, asynchronous and distributed systems.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience in SQL, C#, Python, or PowerShell.
