Main purpose of the Job
The Global Head of Source-to-Value (S2V) is a critical leadership role at the heart of Opella’s Global Business Services (GBS) transformation. This position is accountable for leading the global S2V organization end-to-end, driving simplification, performance, and innovation across procurement, purchasing, and payables processes.
The mandate goes beyond operational excellence: the role is a transformation leader tasked with addressing current pain points—particularly PR/PO complexity—while elevating S2V to a best-in-class, user-centric, and AI-enabled function contributing directly to cost optimization and working capital improvement.

Key Accountabilities
Strategy & Transformation Leadership
- Define and execute a bold S2V transformation roadmap, aligned with Opella’s GBS and business priorities
- Simplify and redesign end-to-end S2V processes to eliminate complexity and improve business usability
- Lead the evolution of the Target Operating Model (TOM) and Core Model, including COM model transformation and expanded contracting scope
- Ensure S2V becomes a benchmark function in terms of efficiency, digitalization, and business value creation
End-to-End Process Simplification & User Experience
- Drive radical simplification of PR/PO processes and broader S2V flows
- Embed a user-first design approach to enhance experience, adoption, and compliance
- Standardize processes globally while ensuring flexibility for business needs
- Leverage digital and automation opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce friction
AI-Driven Process Reinvention
- Go beyond incremental improvements by leveraging AI to redesign S2V processes end-to-end
- Partner with Digital teams to embed AI in core operations (procurement, AP, contracting, helpdesk)
- Identify and scale high-value use cases delivering measurable impact (productivity, cycle times, accuracy)
Performance, Cost & Working Capital Optimization
- Drive best-in-class performance across S2V KPIs (e.g., pay-on-time, cycle times, compliance, spend visibility)
- Deliver sustainable cost optimization, including efficient BPO footprint and resource allocation
- Actively contribute to working capital improvement through enhanced payables management and process discipline
- Implement robust governance and benchmarking frameworks to continuously improve performance
Leadership, Team Engagement & Change Management
- Lead and inspire a global S2V organization (~60+ FTEs across 40+ countries +~100 in BPO)
- Rebuild trust, engagement, and performance within a team undergoing transformation
- Drive organizational redesign where needed to support future ambition

Stakeholder Management & Executive Exposure
- Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, including ExCo members and key functions (Procurement, Finance, Digital, Legal, Supply Chain)
- Manage complex stakeholder environments and lead through crisis or high-pressure situations
- Ensure strong alignment between GBS, Business, Procurement, and Digital priorities
BPO & Ecosystem Management
- Own the global relationship with Business Process Outsourcing partners, ensuring performance, value, and scalability
- Optimize sourcing strategy between in-house and outsourced activities
- Ensure delivery excellence in line with SLAs and contractual commitments
Expected Skills
- 20+ years of experience, including senior leadership roles in S2P / Procurement / GBS environments
- Proven track record leading large-scale transformations and complex global organizations
- Strong expertise across end-to-end S2V processes and supporting technologies
- Deep understanding of GBS models and cross-functional operations
- Very good program and project leadership skills with a strong track record of executional excellence: moving with fast lead-time from idea to action
- Ability to think strategically, take a helicopter view and develop a compelling vision, but also be able to dive deep into operational problems when required – focus on impact and results
- Ability to decide even under high pressure and inspire the team to keep up with the fast-changing environment during transition
- Hands-on transformation leader capable of simplifying complexity and delivering tangible results
- Demonstrated ability to lead in crisis contexts and manage senior stakeholder expectations
- Strong change leadership skills with experience rebuilding engagement and team dynamics
- High level of energy, resilience, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
