    About The Opportunity

ORBIS is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations in a high-volume production environment. This is a true working supervisor role where you'll be actively engaged on the production floor, supporting employees, solving problems in real time, and helping ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.
We're looking for a leader who understands manufacturing processes, can balance production demands with people development, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to support the team when needed.
    The hours for this role are 2 p.m. - 11 p.m.

As a Production Supervisor, you will:

    • Lead daily production activities while fostering a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Serve as a hands-on leader who is actively present on the production floor rather than behind a desk.
    • Utilize your manufacturing knowledge to understand and support production processes, equipment, and product flow.
    • Drive key performance metrics including safety, quality, machine efficiency, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery.
    • Balance operational priorities with employee coaching, development, and engagement.
    • Support capacity planning and staffing activities to meet customer demands and production schedules.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that drive operational excellence.
    • Provide guidance on staffing, training, performance management, and employee relations.
    • Support and engage with forklift operators and production associates to ensure safe and efficient operations.
    • Use critical thinking and sound judgment to make decisions, take ownership of outcomes, and drive accountability within the team.
    • Manage workforce administration responsibilities such as timekeeping, attendance tracking, vacation approvals, and employee scheduling.
    • Utilize systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office to support daily operations and reporting.

    What We're Looking For

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing leadership experience.
    • Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing operations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with SAP.
    • Experience with Workday or similar HR/timekeeping systems.
    • Forklift operation knowledge or experience working closely with material handling teams.
    • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • A hands-on leadership style and willingness to be actively engaged on the production floor.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
    • The ability to work independently while effectively leading and motivating a team.
    • A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and employee well-being.
    • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Accountability and confidence in making and standing behind decisions.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees at all levels.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, plant operations, quality standards, and production metrics.
    • Strong communication and coaching skills focused on developing high-performing teams.

    Work Environment

    • Primarily based in a manufacturing production environment with some office responsibilities.
    • This is an active, interactive role that requires significant time spent on the production floor.
    • Frequent walking, standing, and engagement with employees throughout the facility.
    • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
    • Occasional travel may be required.

    Why Join ORBIS?

At ORBIS, you'll have the opportunity to lead a team, make an immediate impact on operations, and help drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. If you're a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys being where the action is and developing people while delivering results, we'd love to hear from you.
