Staff Accountant

The specific position is for an Accounting Clerk with high level duties and responsibilities as listed below.

General Duties & Responsibilities

• Reports to the CFO
• Works closely with and takes direction from the Controller
• Supports company’s team and clients as necessary

Accounting/Bookkeeping Duties

• Daily banking and transaction duties
  • Create and upload ACH files
  • Process and post payments from lockbox
  • Process and post payments received in house
  • Process and post outbound checks and electronic transactions
• Perform and clear various daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations

Systems and Process Duties

• Work with accounting and IT team members to analyze and improve systems and process
• Importing/Exporting and updating QuickBooks
• Work with various online banking systems

Skills & Requirements

• Expert knowledge of MS Excel
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Must be able to work late from time to time to assure any daily processes are complete
• Must be able to work late on last business day of each month until all daily/monthly process are complete
• Ability to quickly problem solve and find potential solutions to issues
• Ability to collaborate and work on long term projects
• Project management experience or exposure desired
