As a Patient Registration Team Member, you will serve as one of the first points of contact for our patients and families. You will be responsible for completing patient check-in, verifying demographic and insurance information, collecting required documentation and payments, and helping ensure an efficient flow throughout the clinic.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment while providing excellent customer service.

    • Verify and update patient demographic, contact, insurance, and billing information.

    • Obtain and scan identification, insurance cards, referrals, authorizations, consent forms, and other required documentation.

    • Verify insurance eligibility and identify coverage or registration concerns.

    • Collect co-pays, self-pay deposits, outstanding balances, and other patient payments.

    • Answer patient questions related to registration, appointments, forms, payments, and general clinic processes.

    • Work closely with clinical and Revenue Cycle Team Members to support efficient patient flow.

    • Maintain accurate patient records and promptly address missing or incorrect information.

    • Assist with appointment changes, cancellations, rescheduling, and other patient-access needs as assigned.

    • Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, privacy, payment-handling, and KOC policies and procedures.

    What We're Looking For

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Previous experience in customer service, patient access, medical registration, front-office operations, or another detail-oriented service environment preferred.

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Professional and compassionate approach when working with patients, families, providers, and fellow Team Members.

    • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Basic computer and keyboarding skills with the ability to learn electronic health record and practice-management systems.

    • Ability to handle confidential patient and financial information appropriately.

    Preferred Experience

Previous experience in a medical office, orthopaedic practice, patient registration, or other healthcare setting is preferred. Experience with insurance eligibility, referrals, patient payments, or NextGen or a similar electronic health record system is a plus.
