    OSG USA, INC. is a leading manufacturer of taps, endmills, drills, and indexable cutting tools.  OSG also serves the fastener industry by offering a complete line of thread rolling, flat, cylindrical, and planetary, rack and trim dies. The company markets its products to numerous industries including automotive, die mold, aerospace, energy, heavy industry and dental.

    Position Summary:

    The HR/Payroll Specialist administers payroll, time and attendance. Collects and analyzes Payroll data and then inputs information for processing payroll on a weekly basis.

    Job Functions for a HR/Payroll Specialist:

    · Reviews and imports employee time records into the UKG payroll system utilizing UTM

    · Checks all pay figures for accuracy and obtains necessary approvals

    · Data entry for all time, attendance, and personnel transactions such as new hires, terminations, leave of absence, benefit deductions and garnishments

    · Maintains the time and attendance system to ensure accurate accruals of all PTO

    · Reviews payroll documentation for accuracy through audit reports and makes necessary adjustments

    · Maintains accurate Employee files and payroll records

    · Reconcile payroll and tax reports weekly/monthly/annually

    · Maintains the HR Help Desk Ticket program

    · Maintains all data integrity within the HRIS and Payroll systems

    · Resolves employee questions/inquiries in a timely manner

    · Prepares week end, month end, and quarter end reports for Accounting

    · Works closely with Human Resources and Accounting departments on payroll related issues

    · Is knowledgeable of all Payroll policies and procedures

    · Prepares and Maintains “Out of Pocket” expenses

    · Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning taxes and unemployment

    · Prepare and manage year end process (Fringe)

    · Administrator of Bonus Program

    Minimum Qualifications for a HR/Payroll Specialist:

    · 3+ years of payroll experience

    · Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point, and Word

    · Ability to deal effectively with payroll issues and problem solving

    · Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration

    · High school diploma/GED

    Preferred Qualifications for a HR/Payroll Specialist:

    · Bachelor’s Degree

    · Certified Payroll Professional, American Payroll Association

    Physical Working Demands: 

    • To perform the duties of this job, an individual must be able to read, write, understand and communicate by telephone using the English Language.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time (3-4 hours at a time).  The employee is frequently required to use hands for typing, 10-key operation, telephone dialing, feeling objects, tools, or controls.  Must be able to talk and hear.
    • Specific vision abilities required to this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  The employee is regularly required to enter information into a computer.

    Compensation Type:

    $51,300 - $85,400 per year depending on experience + quarterly bonus potential

    Reports to:     Benefits and Payroll Supervisor

    Job Type:       Full-time, Non-Exempt

    Hours:            8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday, hybrid work schedule
