Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Field Service Engineer to join our team in Turkey. Based in Ankara, you will support Rapiscan’s Cargo Vehicle Inspection (CVI) systems across the country, providing hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer support.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and fault diagnosis on Cargo Vehicle Inspection (CVI) systems.
- Serve as the local technical point of contact for customers throughout Turkey.
- Carry out troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and IT-related systems.
- Support the maintenance and servicing of Mercedes-based inspection vehicles.
- Coordinate and perform scheduled maintenance activities on deployed cargo inspection systems.
- Provide technical support and respond to customer service requests both remotely and on-site.
- Complete service reports and technical documentation accurately.
- Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, vehicles, and spare parts.
- Build positive customer relationships and deliver high-quality service.
- Follow all health, safety, and operational requirements.
Qualifications
- BTEC, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, electro-mechanical, or industrial systems.
- Understanding of IT networking technologies; CCNP or similar beneficial.
- Experience with PLC-controlled systems, HV systems, radar, or integrated technology solutions is an advantage.
- Relevant practical experience will also be considered
Candidate Requirements
- Experience supporting complex technical equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, engine, generator, or networking technologies.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout Turkey.
