Adjunct - Computer Engineering (NYC Campus)

Join us as we launch our new Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering program!

This fall, we welcomed our first cohort of Computer Engineering students to the NYC campus, and we're building our roster of adjunct instructors to teach the program's core courses as it grows. These positions are for courses beginning Fall 2027 and beyond — we're recruiting early to build a strong pool of qualified candidates well ahead of the start date.

About the Role

We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in our growing Computer Engineering program. This is a unique opportunity to help build a brand-new major, mentor an inaugural class of students, and bring real-world engineering experience into the classroom. Course assignments will begin in Fall 2027, with the possibility of ongoing terms thereafter based on program needs and course sequencing.

Courses You'll Teach

• CE 201 — Fundamentals of Circuits and Electronics
• CE 202 — Digital Circuit Design
• CE 304 — Embedded Software Development
• CE 405 — Embedded Systems: Hardware/Software Co-design
• CE 489/499 — Computer Engineering Capstone I & II

Candidates who can teach across this full sequence — from foundational circuits through embedded systems and capstone project mentorship — are especially encouraged to apply, though we welcome applicants with strengths in a subset of these areas.

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field; significant relevant industry experience will also be considered
• Demonstrated expertise in circuit design, digital logic, embedded systems, and hardware/software integration
• Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is a plus, but strong industry experience with a genuine interest in mentoring early-career engineers is equally valued
• Enthusiasm for guiding capstone projects and helping students bridge coursework with real-world engineering practice
• Availability to teach on the NYC campus during the assigned semester(s), starting Fall 2027
