The Student Assessment Aide will support the Economics Department with assessment, data collection, documentation, and administrative activities related to evaluating and improving academic programs and student learning outcomes. The student will work closely with department faculty and staff to collect, organize, maintain, and analyze information used for departmental assessment and reporting.
Responsibilities
The Student Assessment Aide may assist with, but is not limited to:
- Collecting and organizing assessment data from students, courses, surveys, and other departmental sources.
- Creating, distributing, and monitoring student and faculty surveys.
- Assisting with the collection, organization, and review of assessment materials and supporting documentation.
- Organizing and maintaining electronic and physical files to ensure records are accurate, complete, and easily accessible.
- Monitoring and responding to assessment related emails and assisting with follow up communications.
- Entering, cleaning, organizing, and maintaining data in spreadsheets and other department systems.
- Reviewing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement.
- Assisting with basic data analysis and preparation of charts, tables, summaries, and reports.
- Supporting the preparation of assessment reports, presentations, and other departmental documentation.
- Ensuring assessment records and documentation are maintained accurately and appropriately.
- Assisting with tracking deadlines, submissions, and outstanding assessment materials.
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling student and departmental information responsibly.
- Providing general administrative support for departmental assessment initiatives and projects.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Must be Federal Work-Study eligible.
- Current Pace University student.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and digital files.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets preferred.
- Previous experience with surveys, data collection, research, or administrative work is preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, dependable, and comfortable working with data and documentation. Experience with Excel, Google Forms, survey platforms, data visualization, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
