Economics Student Research Assistant

The Department of Economics is looking for a Student Assistant who will provide research support to the department. The Student Assistant will be required to support department member research initiatives. S/he will also be required to assist with various department projects as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Summarize assigned academic articles.
• Assist with the collection of data, literature, and other information in order to conduct high-level economic research.
• Run regressions/models in R or Stata.
• Perform other such duties and responsibilities that may be assigned occasionally.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, knowledge in R, Stata or Python Desirable.
• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.
• Strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Flexible hours from Monday to Friday from 9 am-5 pm.
