The Film and Screen Studies Production Assistant assists the FSS Lab and Equipment Manager with checking out and checking in film equipment for students and faculty. This includes cameras, lenses, lights, sound equipment, and other related equipment. The Technician is also responsible for helping maintain the equipment and troubleshooting any problems that may occur.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Check out and check in film equipment to students and faculty.
- Help maintain inventory records of all equipment check-outs and check-ins.
- Ensure equipment is organized and clean before and after check-outs.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment problems.
- Keep the equipment room clean and organized.
- Assist students and faculty with using the equipment.
- Work-Study Eligible Only.
- Strong knowledge of film equipment, including cameras, lenses, lights, and sound equipment.
