The student manager helps ensure that practices, games, and team operations run smoothly. The role requires strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Managers work under the direct supervision of the head coach and athletic department.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice Support: Preparing practice equipment, setting up drills, and assisting coaches and players with logistical needs. This includes setting up and breaking down, assisting players during warm-ups, and managing hydration stations.
- Game-Day Operations: Manage the team bench area, handle towels and water carts, track substitutions. Assist coaching staff with data collection and analysis during practices and games, including recording statistics.
- Equipment and Laundry: Maintain team gear, distribute uniforms, and process laundry for home and away games.
- Video: Filming practices and games.
- Travel Coordination: Assist with packing equipment bags and managing basic travel logistics for away games.
- Perform other such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
- Must have federal work study
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable and patient with visitors
- Office experience a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Must be willing to work weekends and have a flexible schedule
