Key Responsibilities

• Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses
• Diagnose equipment problems
• Respond to breakdowns
• Spring and winter maintenance
• Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs
• Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities
• Follow SOUTHLAND procedures and guidelines

Requirements

• Registered Apprentice Mechanic (Automotive or Heavy Duty); 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year levels considered
• Clear criminal record
• Own hand tools
• Valid driver’s license (Class 2A ideal)
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Computer proficiency
• Some overtime/weekend availability is required based on business needs
