Commercial Sales Analyst (LFIP)

Pact Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Analyst to join our Large Format Industrial Packaging finance team. Partnering closely with Sales, Operations and Finance, you will provide the analysis and commercial insight needed to strengthen pricing decisions, improve customer profitability and deliver sustainable business outcomes

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be a trusted commercial partner to the Sales team and the first point of finance contact for day-to-day sales and commercial matters.

You will apply your commercial finance and manufacturing experience to pricing, margin management, customer profitability, forecasting and reporting. You will also work across multiple sites and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, FP&A, Procurement and Shared Services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with Sales to improve pricing, revenue and gross margin outcomes.
• Reviewing customer portfolios and maintaining contracted and non-contracted pricing mechanisms.
• Supporting customer tenders, proposals and new product development activities.
• Completing price validation, price-volume-mix and detailed price-cost analysis.
• Developing complex pricing models and performance trackers covering actual, forecast and budget results.
• Leading customer and product-level sales budgeting and forecasting.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities across sales volume, pricing and customer profitability.
• Improving commercial processes, reporting tools, controls and governance.
• Identifying opportunities to automate reporting and business processes using AI and other available tools.
• Building commercial capability across the Sales team through practical guidance and insight.

About you

You are an analytical and commercially focused finance professional who can translate complex financial information into clear recommendations. You are comfortable challenging assumptions, influencing stakeholders and working across Sales, Finance and manufacturing operations.

You will bring:

• Solid experience in business analysis, management accounting or cost accounting within manufacturing, industrial goods or consumer goods.
• Experience in pricing methodology, price setting, tender processes and price-volume-mix modelling.
• Demonstrated experience in customer profitability analysis and commercial decision support.
• Knowledge of standard costing, cost allocation and cost sensitivity analysis in an SAP environment.
• Strong understanding of P&L performance, accounting systems and financial metrics.
• Advanced Excel, database and reporting skills.
• The ability to present fact-based recommendations and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement, process optimisation and operational excellence.

• Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, commerce or business.
• A CA or CPA qualification.
