Heavy Duty Equipment Installer/Fab Technician

Summary 

The primary focus of the Equipment Installer and Fabrication Technician is to install various truck equipment components, such as dump truck bodies, snowplows, hydraulic pumps, and tarp systems. The individual will need to securely route air and hydraulic lines to operate truck equipment components.

Essential Responsibilities 

• MIG Welding Experience.
• Basic electrical.
• Use of basic hand tools to install parts and subassemblies.
• Listen to and follow directions from supervisors.
• Fabricate and assemble parts/components on Medium and heavy-duty trucks.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
• Complete quality controls.
• Accurately record time, cause, and correction on Repair Orders.
• Complete assigned repairs and tasks in a timely and safe manner.
• Study and interpret assembly instructions.
• Ensure the work space is clean and safe.
• Team-oriented and a positive attitude.
• Other duties as assigned.

Computer Skills 

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic Computer skills and knowledge of Repair Order Processing Software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 

Position requires the ability to operate motor vehicles and have a safe driving record. A current Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required.
