As we continue to grow, we are looking for an energetic, relationship-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our team at our Fort Pierce, FL headquarters.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for someone who is competitive, personable, organized, and genuinely enjoys building relationships.
The ideal candidate:
- Has experience in inside sales, outside sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing sales roles.
- Has recreational marine industry experience — REQUIRED.
- Understands the dealer, marina, OEM, boat builder, or marine distribution environment.
- Is comfortable making outbound calls and developing relationships with new prospects.
- Is confident communicating with customers and decision-makers at all levels.
- Has strong follow-up habits and understands that consistent communication drives sales.
- Is highly organized and capable of managing multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales cycle.
- Is comfortable discussing pricing, presenting value, overcoming objections, and closing business.
- Has strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Has experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Is proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Google Sheets.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Brings a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude to the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Generate and pursue new sales opportunities through inbound inquiries, outbound prospecting, referrals, dealer networks, and existing relationships.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for dealers, marinas, OEMs, boat builders, and customers seeking transportation solutions.
- Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong long-term customer relationships.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and increase transportation volume.
- Prepare, present, and follow up on transportation quotes with the goal of converting opportunities into booked business.
- Conduct consistent follow-up with prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle.
- Utilize consultative selling techniques to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate transportation solutions.
- Introduce customers and industry partners to Palmetto Yacht Management's transportation services and proprietary technology.
- Work closely with outside sales representatives to develop accounts, pursue opportunities, and support territory growth.
Account & Customer Management
- Manage multiple customer accounts and opportunities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional communication and service.
- Maintain accurate customer, contact, opportunity, and sales activity information within Salesforce.
- Track leads, quotes, follow-ups, opportunities, and sales forecasts.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers within dealerships, marinas, OEMs, and boat manufacturers.
- Identify customer concerns and work with internal teams to resolve issues quickly and professionally.
